Welcome To The Nomadic

What is Nomad? When we launched as a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 we were out to bring fellow travelers and adventurers a cable that fit in their wallet so they would be able to charge their phone no matter where their wanderings took them. Our vision has grown since then and we’ve expanded into iPhone and Android cases, cables, power packs, wireless chargers, and many more products for the modern Nomad. We’ve got a lot more to look forward to in 2019.

Along the way, we have been telling our community, through our packaging and our site, that Nomad is more than just a brand name. We hold to a minimalistic ethos and our mission is to build tools that keep us on the road and powered—no matter what we choose to do. We have a penchant for American Leather and for any rugged and durable material. We are driven by the mountains and coastlines of our California home and by the far-flung places of the globe that we have explored. We draw our inspiration from the community of adventurers, explorers, artists and photographers that we are fortunate enough to work with. Our ongoing quest is to build products that empower 21st-century Nomads to do more with less.
In 2019 we will be sharing the vision behind our products, stories of inspiring members of the Nomad community, and all the things we do that make us unique.

Welcome to The Nomadic, Nomad’s own blog.The Nomadic will be a logbook for journeys both close to home and far, far away. It will be a field guide to the gear needed for exploration and adventure and it will serve as a basecamp for all things Nomad.

We are also excited to bring stories of the brands we are proud to partner with to our community. Whether it's our favorite coffee roaster or our leather supplier, Horween Leather Company, we want to share more and more of our story with you, our fellow Nomad. You’ll also have a chance to learn more about the team that makes up Nomad, as well as some of the adventures we go on. We will be sharing trip reports from our favorite Nomads, tips and tricks for adventure travel, the latest info on new tech and much more. Our humble hope is that since you’ve been a fan of our products, you’ll also be a fan of the stuff we love. We’ve got a lot of interesting stuff lined up and we don’t want to fill your inbox with any junk so if you choose to subscribe we will only send you emails once a week.
