Apple Spring Event 2026: iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4, and New MacBooks

| Words by Madeline Myers

So far this week, Apple unveiled a new iPhone, an updated iPad Air, and refreshed MacBook models. If you’re looking for a quick recap, here’s everything you need to know.

iPhone 17e

Apple refreshed its entry-level iPhone without raising the $599 starting price. The new iPhone 17e now starts at 256GB of storage, adds full MagSafe support with faster 15W Qi2 wireless charging, and features a more durable Ceramic Shield 2 display.

Powered by the same A19 chip found in iPhone 17 Pro, it delivers stronger performance, Apple Intelligence support, and improved connectivity thanks to Apple’s updated C1X modem — all while keeping the familiar 6.1-inch design and 48MP camera.

iPhone 17e pre-orders open March 4, with availability beginning March 11.

iPad Air M4

Apple also introduced a new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, delivering smoother multitasking, stronger graphics performance, and more power for creative work. Memory increases from 8GB to 12GB, and it’s the first iPad Air to support Wi-Fi 7 for faster, more reliable connectivity.

Even better, pricing remains unchanged. The 11-inch model starts at $599 and the 13-inch at $799. Pre-orders open March 4, with availability beginning March 11.

New M5 MacBooks

Apple refreshed MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with new M5 chips, offering major gains in speed, AI performance, and wireless connectivity.

MacBook Air keeps its slim design and long battery life, but now runs on M5 for faster everyday performance across work, school, and creative tasks. It also doubles the starting storage and adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 for stronger, more reliable connections. If you’re looking for a slimmer, more minimal laptop that can easily juggle projects for years to come, this is a great option.

For power users, MacBook Pro introduces M5 Pro and M5 Max, built for demanding workflows like video editing, 3D rendering, and advanced AI processing. Storage now starts at 1TB for M5 Pro and 2TB for M5 Max, alongside Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 5, up to 24 hours of battery life, and the Liquid Retina XDR display.

MacBook Neo

Apple also unveiled MacBook Neo, a new entry point to the Mac lineup designed to bring the Mac experience to more people. Starting at $599, it combines Apple’s signature aluminum design with a vibrant 13-inch Liquid Retina display and a lineup of bold colors.

Powered by the A18 Pro chip, MacBook Neo delivers fast performance for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, editing photos, and exploring creative projects. It also supports Apple Intelligence features across apps and offers up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge.

With a 1080p FaceTime camera, Spatial Audio speakers, Magic Keyboard, and seamless integration with iPhone and macOS Tahoe, MacBook Neo delivers the essential Mac experience at Apple’s most accessible price yet.

Pre-orders for all the new MacBooks begin March 4, with in-store availability starting March 11.
